About the Position: The Anniston Army Depot is located in Anniston, Alabama in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain halfway between Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, AL just off Interstate 20. The Depot is the largest employer in Calhoun County with approximately 4000 employees.

Duties

Review new workload or proposed revision of production methods for depot and contractor work operations. Prepare statements of work and contract delivery orders. Monitor contract execution for environmental compliance and management system improvement projects. Attend project review meetings to provide professional input on environmental requirements based on regulations, laws, and executive orders.

Qualifications

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes Planning, conducting studies and surveys, providing consultation concerning hazardous waste/material management, waste/wastewater abatement, cleanup, pollution prevention, reduction of environmental risks, and regulatory compliance. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
