About the Position: This position is in the Naval Hospital Twentynine Palms with the Directorate of Resource Management, Facility Mangement. Twentynine Palms is the home of Joshua Tree National Park Headquarters and Main Park Entrance and proud host of the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, the world's largest Marine Corps training base. The city is renowned for murals and artists, supportive business climate, beautiful natural surroundings, desert and mountain vistas.
Duties
Monitor supply budget to ensure expenditures do not exceed authorized ceiling for the fiscal year.
Ensure staff is informed of updates such as logistical operation procedures for the department.
Input time and attendance into an automated timekeeping system.
Review outgoing correspondence to ensure documents are in correct format and without grammatical errors.
Ensure office equipment is maintained or functioning effectively.
Utilize software programs such as Microsoft Office to create correspondence, memorandums, and reports.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position is subject to screening and update of required immunizations unless exempted for medical or administrative reasons.
- Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. GS-05 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 grade level in the Federal service which includes using computer programs to create correspondence, prepare reports, and maintain records.
OR
Education: Four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with major study or at least 24 semester hours in subjects directly related to the position.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages
