You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT ASSISTANT (OA) in the FIRE DEPARTMENT of MARINE CORPS AIR GROUND COMBAT CTR.

Duties

You will provide administrative support to Department offices/chiefs within the Fire and Emergency Services (FES) within Installation Support Directorate (ISD)/Mission Assurance (MA). You will be responsible for property and supply, operating budget, incentive awards, training, travel, timekeeping, EEO reports, suspense files, manpower usage, records management, correspondence, personnel actions, suggestions, etc. You will provide input for financial management, cost histories and obligation and expenditure trends. You will prepare, process and review all correspondence departing the Division. You will submit reports and request to appropriate authority, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to possess and maintain a current valid United States driver?s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing administrative support such as maintaining office records, documentation and records filing; preparing reports of findings with solutions; AND conducting direct and indirect cost summaries.
