You will serve as an ADMINISRATIVE ASSISTANT (OA) in the Natural Resources and Environmental Affairs (NREA) Division of MARINE CORPS AIR GROUND COMBAT CTR.

Duties

You will receive all incoming correspondence, reports and action documents; screening of those items, which can be personally handled, and forwarding the rest to the supervisor or appropriate section. You will coordinate and maintain a calendar of meetings and conferences. You will make necessary arrangements for travel and lodging accommodations. You will make complete arrangements for large conferences, to include protocol for general officers, refreshments, award ceremonies, and staff meetings You will be responsible for establishing, reviewing, and updating all administrative functions within the Natural Resources and Environmental Affairs (NREA) Division. You will receive guests, visitors, representatives from supported units, and incoming correspondence and telephone calls; direct them to the appropriate section You will be the Transportation Incentive Program Coordinator for the installation. You will be the GCPC AAO for environmental affairs.

Requirements

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
  • This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.

Qualifications

GS-06 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialize experience at or equivalent to the GS-5 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing clerical and administrative duties. GS-07 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialize experience at or equivalent to the GS-6 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: High proficiency in computer skills, including word processing, database management, spreadsheet, and presentation graphics software and be able to instruct others as necessary.
