Duties
Assists in the preparation of the agenda items, presentations and reports.
Attends planning conferences and meetings which affect current and future requirements of the program.
Obtains workload data to track progress in meeting objectives and use of resources.
Provides assistant level support for Health System Specialist functions.
Prepares correspondence, reports, and other documents in draft and final form using a Word, PowerPoint or Excel Spreadsheets.
Uses office automation systems to perform management and/or support assignments.
Develops professional Power-Point presentations on data identified by supervisor.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires a typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute (WPM) based on a 5 minute sample with 3 or fewer errors. Are you able to type at least 40 WPM based on a 5 minute sample with 3 or fewer errors.
- This is an inclement Weather Essential position. The incumbent must make every attempt to report for work on time and/or remain on duty during severe weather conditions.
- Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
- Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.

Specialized experience for the GS-06: One year of demonstrated experience in experience obtaining workload data to track progress and use of resources; using office automation skills to prepare reports and complete tasks; And receiving and answering routine telephone inquiries. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
Specialized experience for the GS-07: One year of demonstrated experience writing reports to recommend improvements for healthcare program operations; performing a variety of automation functions to maintain healthcare administrative data, and answering recurring questions to resolve administrative problems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
