About the Position This is a Health System Specialist (Patient Safety) position located at Fort Drum, New York. This is a temporary appointment, not to exceed 6 months.

Duties

Coordinate organizational patient safety program. Investigate safety issues based on severity index to improve staff performance and patient care. Manage all patient safety reports. Implement data collection methods to support IACH clinical outcomes continuous improvement initiatives. Manage Patient Safety Office. Supervise the work of the Patient Safety Coordinator.

OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
