This position is located at the Recycle Center.
Duties
Operates a gasoline/diesel powered vehicles with gross weight of not more than 26,000 pounds. Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks and carts, gasoline or electrically powered, on a daily basis while receiving incoming shipments or item.
Selects and sets up proper storage areas for materials within the general warehouse plan considering size, shape, quantity, use, and possibility of damage, deterioration, and contamination to or from other items.
Stores, stacks, and palletizes without instructions on methods or procedures to use. Checks condition of shipping containers prior to loading and ensure shipments are loaded into proper conveyances.
Assists in preparation and submission of DCA supply requisitions. Maintains running record of inventory balance. Conducts warehouse inventories, and maintains tally listings during the count.
Coordinates property turn-in dates with DOL warehouse and/or DRMO, and ensures the loading and delivery of such property.
Requirements

- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a certificate of medical examination and a Tier 1 background investigation.
- Must know safe driving rules, regulations, and traffic laws.
- Must be able to judge overhead and side clearances, turning radius, and braking distance while loading and unloading of supplies and/or equipment.
- Required to stand on hard surfaces for extended periods of time, and to bend, stoop, and work in tiring and sometimes uncomfortable positions.
- They may lift and carry items that weigh up to 40 lbs. The heavier items are moved with weight handling equipment or with assistance from other workers.
- Warehousing work is done inside and outside. The incumbent may work inside areas that are hot, cold, damp, drafty, or poorly lighted.
- The incumbent may work in bad weather in such outside areas as open docks and storage yards. The work may be dirty, dusty, and greasy.
- The incumbent is frequently exposed to the possibility of cuts, scrapes, and bruises; falls from ladders, or injury from mechanical conveyor systems or other materials handling equipment.
- This is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) as required by Army Regulation 600-85. A negative drug test is required prior to appointment for a TDP. Incumbent will be subject to subsequent random drug test as required.
Qualifications
1. Demonstrated ability and knowledge directly related to the duties to be performed as identified above.
2. Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision, and the ability to interpret instructions and specifications.
3. Position requires the incumbent to possess a valid Driver's License, and the ability to obtain a Government License.
