This position is located in the Air Traffic Organization (ATO), Program Management Organization (PMO), Terminal 2nd Level Engineering Group, AJM-24. The PMO provides program and acquisition management for the systems and capabilities that modernize and sustain the National Airspace System (NAS) to advance NAS programs from concept to operation while providing technical support for air traffic control automation and decision support systems.
Duties
The PMO directorates’ key functional areas are: (1) integrated resource management, engineering planning, analysis and integration and program health management and acquisition support; (2) services that support decision making for traffic flow managers and services that go directly to pilots to improve safety and efficiency; (3) implementation and execution of the systems and services that tie ground systems and aircraft together through communications, navigation, weather and aeronautical information and flight services in the NAS; and (4) support aircraft separation services provided by controllers to pilots with accurate and capable surveillance and automation.

At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus. All academic degrees and course work must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions.To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-H, FG/GS 12. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized Experience Includes: Experience collecting, recording, and analyzing data/information and identifying system problems and providing support in the development and implementation of computer hardware and software solutions.Applicants should include examples of specialized experience in their work history.Qualifications must be met by the closing date of this vacancy announcement.The selecting official may decide to interview all, some or none of the candidates referred for consideration.This time limited appointment is in accordance with HRPM EMP 1.11 External Temporary and Time-Limited Appointment and EMP 1.26a STEM/Cybersecurity.
