As a supervisor/manager, the selectee for this position will be eligible to receive a Manager Performance Incentive (MPI) provided eligibility requirements noted in agency policy are met. The MPI is an annual lump-sum incentive payment that considers agency performance, the manager's individual performance, and available funding.Serves as the branch manager for the ATC Voice Communication Branch.
Duties
The branch provides high quality test and evaluation services and subject matter expertise for various areas of ATC voice communications programs. Duties include, but are not limited to, supervising a staff of engineers, mathematicians, and high technical employees responsible for the development of Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs), Operational Test (OT) plans, procedures and reports; development of review comments for Developmental Test (DT) plans, procedures, and reports; review of prime development contractor products; witnessing of DT activities; and conduct of OT activities; responsible for reviewing, processing, and replying to actions in a timely manner and ensuring that the work with other FAA management, peers, customers, and guests is conducted efficiently. Provide guidance for employees in the areas of work and career enhancements; work with FAA employees on human resources-related issues, including time and attendance, personnel matters, scheduling work, Voluntary Leave Transfer Program (VLTP), and telecommuting agreements; manage leave requests and verify Labor Distribution through CASTLE; approve time and attendance after verification and chair regularly schedule staff meetings for branch.

Qualifications

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Basic Requirements: Bachelor's degree in computer science or bachelor's degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus. All academic degrees and course work must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions.Experience includes: Experience with the development of Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs), Operational Test (OT) plans, procedures and reports, development of review comments for Developmental Test (DT) plans, procedures, and reports, review of prime development contractor products, witnessing of DT activities, and conduct of OT activities.Qualifications must be met by the closing date of this vacancy announcement.
