This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Human Resources, Office of Workforce Relations and Evaluations, Health Services Section (HRU). This position(s) primary purpose is to manage the day-to-day activities of the Headquarters Health Clinic and the Training Academy Clinic. Serves as the second line supervisor of the Medical Suitability and Medical Exams Unit Chiefs.

Duties

As a Supervisory Program Manager, your typical work assignments may include: Exercising delegated management authority to oversee the overall planning, direction, budget, and timely execution of the Health Services program. Directing execution of the Foreign Medical Program, Drug Deterrence Program, Suitability determinations, Medical Records Program, Contract and Inter-agency Reimbursable Agreements, and provision of medical services to all employees. Overseeing operations at two occupational health clinics. Making recommendations and decisions on significant internal and external program and policy issues affecting the overall organization, such as those involving medical examination, medical suitability and drug deterrence matters.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet all of the required qualification requirements described below by the closing of this announcement. If you are qualifying based on education or if there are mandatory education requirements listed below, you MUST submit a copy of your college transcript with your application. Applicants applying for the GS-15 must meet one of the following requirements: A. Have at least one full year of qualifying specialized experience that is at least equivalent in difficulty and complexity to work performed at the GS-14 grade level. Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifying experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Overseeing and directing an occupational health program responsible for Health Clinic management, facilitating medical examinations and medical suitability determinations; drug testing, and maintaining medical records; 2) Leading programmatic strategic planning, priority-setting, budgeting, and contract management efforts; 3) Responsible for recommending policies and procedures related to the implementation, evaluation, and sustainment of employee health and wellness services.
