About the Position: The ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT ASSISTANT (OA) position is for the US ARMY SPECIAL OPERATIONS AVIATION CO 160TH SPECIAL OPNS AVN REGIMENT 1ST BATTALION HQS.
Duties
Maintain various technical and administrative records to standards of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Records Management system or other established system.
Provides administrative customer service to Soldiers and other authorized customers.
Compose and prepare a variety of military and non-military correspondence and other documents using standards in regulations and related instructions.
Responsible for the accuracy of typed materials to include correct format, grammar and punctuation.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Incumbent must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Qualified typist required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Prepare and review recommendations for awards, for compliance with the Department of the Army and Department of Defense regulations and policies. Monitor and coordinate military personnel evaluations. Identify officers and non-commissioned officers requiring an evaluation report and initiates required action to ensure reports are generated and completed in a timely manner. Operates a personal computer using advance functions of different software such as an automated database to access and retrieve military personnel data. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
