This position is in the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, 1300 Pennsylvania Ave., NW., Washington, DC Washington, DC, within the Latin American and Caribbean Bureau (LAC), at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
Duties
Analyze established programs and perform program liaison duties to support long-and short range administrative planning activities for the organization.
Serve as the contact person concerning administrative issues.
Apply existing and new policies, provide advice on requirements, maintain databases that reflect the fulfillment and status of administrative requirements and systems.
Prepare administrative paperwork, and maintain an awareness of the status of the office’s personnel actions.
Prepare correspondence, reports, budget, spreadsheets, or other documents related to structured work assignments or developmental activities, in addition to preparing written products for a variety of audiences.
Follow established policies and procedures to assist in the development and maintenance of relationships with various stakeholders in government, private industry, and academic institutions.
Requirements

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered with the Selective Service.

- If you have no prior Federal experience or are selected under Delegated Examining procedures, you will be required to serve a one-year probationary period.

- These are Testing Designated Positions (TDP's) under the Agency's approved Drug-Free Work Place Program. All applicants selected for this position will be subject to random drug testing once they begin working for the Agency.
Qualifications
Specialized Experience: GS-09: You must have at least one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-07 level in the Federal service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Examples of qualifying specialized experience at the next lower level for this position include experience: (a) administrative experience providing support to multiple clients, such as human resources, supply, records management, management, program analysis, and budget; (b) drafting correspondence, reports, and memoranda related to management and administrative issues; and (c) identifying and developing ways to resolve problems or cope with issues that directly affect the accomplishment of an agency's program goals or objectives.

Education: 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or master's or equivalent graduate degree.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience relevant to the position's duties to be filled, including volunteer experience.
CTAP/ICTAP candidates will be referred to the selecting official if they are found well qualified.
