Duties
As a Public Health Advisor you will:
Serve as the Program Management Official, providing expertise and effective leadership over all administrative services performed within the Division.
Work closely with program management staff across the Division to manage and coordinate day to day operations of the Division, including personnel, financial/resource management, travel, training, space management and all other administrative needs.
Oversee staffing needs of the Division, work with leadership to determine backfill strategies, review personnel recruitment packages, and oversee the Division staffing plan.
Develop task orders and other contract-related requirements for technical and administrative services, including drafting statements of work and other contract documentation.
Assess all new projects to ensure that sound managerial concepts and practices are being applied and that budget estimates are accurate, complete, and within available resources with the authority to approve, modify, or delay projects as appropriate or necessary.
Perform supervisory duties for a small contingent of staff to include planning work to be accomplished by the team and setting and adjusting short-term priorities and deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify at the GS-14 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level, which must include the following experience: directing and overseeing multi-functional program activities involving a range of public health programs that are operated domestically and abroad to include overseeing administration of public health programs.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Copy of your transcripts or equivalent documentation is required for positions with an education requirement, or if you are qualifying based on education or a combination of education and experience. An official transcript will be required if you are selected.
College or university degree generally must be from an accredited (or pre-accredited) college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. For a list of schools which meet these criteria, please refer to

You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
