This position serves as the Timekeeper in the Consolidated Patient Accounts Center (CPAC) at the VA FCCPAC Orlando, in Orlando, FL. The primary responsibility of this position is to function as the time and leave clerk/advisor on all matters concerning time and leave records for employees.
Duties

Major Duties:
Provide advisory and technical assistance to staff and management regarding time and leave regulations and policies.
Monitor timecards of employees.
Maintain files of timekeeping records via usual office file and/or computer files.
Utilize data base management program (VistA) and word processing to prepare records.
Perform clerical duties with a minimum amount technical assistance: forms, reports, correspondence, and miscellaneous documents.
Answers phones, provide information and/or refers to the appropriate person.
Monitor stock levels of specific office supplies.
Operate various kinds of data entry equipment, calculator, and personal computer to perform updating files, data entry and patient account information.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday - 8:00AM - 4:30PM

Qualifications
TO QUALIFY FOR THIS POSITION YOU MUST HAVE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Possess at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-4) in Federal service that has equipped me with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience is interpreting time and leave regulations and pay entitlements to staff, identifying timecard issues and assisting with correction of problems, and maintaining records and reports. NOTE: Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must clearly indicate the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment.
OR
EDUCATION SUBSTTUTION: Possess successfully completed four (4) academic years of progressive education above high school, leading to a bachelor's degree, in any field for which a high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite. OR
COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND SPECIALISTED EXPERIENCE: Possess an equivalent combination of successfully completed post-high school education (equivalent to at least the junior- and senior-year levels of a baccalaureate program) and specialized experience, as described above. NOTE: If you select this option, you must submit a copy of your transcript with your application. Education cannot be credited without documentation AND experience must clearly documented.

Physical Requirements: The work is partly sedentary in nature. Typically, the employee will sit to do their work. The work environment involves the everyday risks or discomforts of an office setting. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
