Duties

You will receive telephone calls, greets visitors, and ascertains the nature of the calls or visits. You will maintain database with walk-in, call-in client statistics and provide data for monthly, quarterly, etc., reports. You will respond to inquiries by clarifying needs through appropriate questions and comments designed to develop necessary facts and by developing responses/solutions based on employee’s knowledge and experience in problem solving. You will conduct follow-up to ensure inquirer’s needs are met, either by the employee and/or other offices/agencies to whom the inquirer was referred. You will prepare a wide variety of recurring and nonrecurring correspondence, reports, and other documents and reviews and finalizes correspondence/documents prepared by others in handwritten or electronic drafts You will maintain staff calendars, coordinates meeting arrangements, and schedules meetings and/or conferences. You will use multiple office automation software with varied functions to produce a wide range of documents that often require editing and reformatting electronic drafts, and updating or revising existing databases or spreadsheets.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing administrative support duties for an organization (e.g., data input, customer service, data gathering, preparing reports, correspondence, maintaining files, and monitoring training schedules/progress) and using automated systems to accurately document and maintain records and/or materials..
