You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST (SUSTAINABILITY) in the OFFICE of the ASSISTANT SECRETARY of the NAVY FOR ENERGY, INSTALLATIONS, and ENVIRONMENT (El&E), WASHINGTON DC.
Duties
You will plan, execute, and oversee sustainability projects within the organization.
You will manage resources, timelines, and stakeholder communications for sustainability projects
You will coordinate activities and ensure that tasks are completed within the allotted time and budget.
You will ensure that sustainability initiatives align with organizational environmental goals and regulatory requirements.
You will ensure project objectives and results align organizational sustainability goals
You will identify potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them for sustainability projects.
You will interpret policy and program requirements to ensure requirements are met
You will develop program plans to affect corrective action and to mitigate program cost overruns and schedule delays.
You will prepare reports for senior management and external stakeholders, using data insights to guide decision-making and enhance sustainability programs.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience creating project plans for sustainability initiatives
Experience gathering and analyzing project performance, sustainability, and environmental data to produce reports on project outcomes
Experience analyzing and resolving problems regarding sustainability programs and issues
Experience leading project teams (delegating tasks, providing guidance) to ensure achievement of team goals.
