In this Management and Program analyst position, you will become a key team member of Homeland Security individuals involved in working as a senior analyst and advisor to management on an organizational aspect of the Directorate's mission requiring application of a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods to assess complex management and program processes and systems.
This position starts at a salary of $103,409.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $134,435.00 (GS-13, Step 10).

Typical duties of this assignment include:
Data retrieval, analysis, and validation from TRIRIGA in support of reports for leadership, portfolio oversight and planning, performance metrics development and assessment.
Project coordination for USBP HQ spaces in the NCR to include developing and promulgating relevant NCR policy and procedures and liaison with customers and service providers.
Supporting corridor MPAs and ASCs as needed to include small project budget oversight and technical and administrative assistance.
Determining the applicability and effect of new or proposed legislation, executive orders, policies, directives and USBP directives and other department decisions on requirements.
Qualifications
Experience: You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as:
Presenting findings through briefings, presentations and conferences with leadership.
Providing technical assistance and direct support to management staff in all matters relating to the application of planning systems and management programs to meet mission requirements.
Evaluating legislation content for projected impact upon agency programs.
Developing, implementing, and monitoring management information systems that focus on long and short-range plans, policies and program evaluation and goals attainment of priorities.

You must:
Meet all qualification requirements, including education if applicable to this position, subject to verification at any stage of the application process; and
Meet all applicable Time in Grade requirements (current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the federal service) by 08/20/2024.

Residency: There is a residency requirement for all applicants not currently employed by CBP. Working for the U.S. Government as a federal civilian or as a member of the military

Probationary Period: All employees new to the federal government must serve a one year probationary period during the first year of his/her initial permanent federal appointment to determine fitness for continued employment.
