You will serve as a Deputy Director Equal Employment Opportunity (DDEEO) in the Marine Corps Installation-West (MCIW) of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON. You will manage an entire Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) program, which encompasses Special Emphasis Program (SEP)/ Observances, Reasonable Accommodation (RA) program and the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) program.
Duties
You will provide advice and assistance to management, employees, or applicants on legal or procedural issues and requirements on matters pertaining to EEO.
You will conduct studies and develop methods to eliminate discrimination practices prohibited by the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and subsequent laws.
You will schedule and assign administrative direction in terms of broadly defined objectives and determine the general method to use, monitor progress, and evaluate accomplishments.
You will ensure that local program information such as special emphasis observances, policies and training on mandatory EEO prevention of Sexual Harassment is appropriately publicized.
You will provide specific work assignments to lower grade employees, and general work instruction to higher grade employees.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Executing and evaluating a civilian federal equal employment opportunity (EEO) program to include advising on the application of equal employment opportunity (EEO) program requirements and developing strategic initiatives and recommendations for senior leaders.
