About the Position: Serves as the Senior Expert Logistics Management Specialist and subject matter expert for the total managing of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs which involves the Life Cycle management of one or more major complex system.
This is a pay banded position. The NH-04 encompasses grades 14 and 15 on the General Schedule.
Duties
Develops and executes integrated logistics support plans which address all the principal elements of total life cycle management for assigned program.
Participates in the development of budgetary requirements for adequate logistics support of assigned systems.
Directs and coordinates logistic support for test operations.
Serves as the principal point of contact for all logistics support activities for assigned systems.
Ensures materiel defects are corrected and resolves user problems encountered during the fielding process.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 10% of the time.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics Certification within 48 months of entrance on duty.

Specialized Experience: One year of experience which includes: 1) Performing logistics management duties for major systems acquisition programs with demonstrated experience with integrated product support activities including developing a life cycle sustainment plan; 2) Developing/coordinating contract scope of work for logistics support, from concept through deployment; 3) Developing budgetary requirements for adequate logistics support of assigned systems; and 4) Developing materiel-fielding plans, fielding agreements with users, and other long and short-range planning documents.
This typically includes work performed at the next lower grade/level NH-03 (GS-13) position in the federal service.
