This position is located in the Division of Risk Management Supervision, any Field Office in the San Francisco Region of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and provides support in the areas of promoting stability and public confidence in the nation’s financial system through examining and supervising insured financial institutions, leading sound policy development, evaluating resolution plans, and monitoring and mitigating systemic risks.
The duty location is determined upon selection.

Qualifications
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Additional qualifications information can be found here.
Mandatory Selective Factor: Must be a Commissioned Risk Management Examiner.
AND
To qualify for CG-14, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS/CG-13 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience conducting the examination and supervision of non-traditional activities at insured institutions, specifically of emerging technology. Examples of emerging technology includes crypto assets, artificial intelligence/machine learning, third party digital deposit programs, or third-party lending programs.
To qualify for CG-15, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS/CG-14 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience planning and developing new or revised approaches to the examination and supervision of non-traditional activities at insured institutions, specifically of emerging technology. Examples of emerging technology includes crypto assets, artificial intelligence/machine learning, third party digital deposit programs, or third-party lending programs.
