You will serve as a LEGISLATIVE AFFAIRS COORDINATOR of ASSTSECNAV M-RA WASHINGTON DC.
Duties
You will establish/foster open lines of communication and understanding.
You will analyze key congressional interest areas and program vulnerabilities, keeping organization leadership up to date across the full Congressional/Legislative cycle.
You will manage the development and coordination of responses to congressional inquiries.
You will plan, organize and execute analytical studies .
You will provide general procedures, instructions and policies for administering programs, project
management, personnel administration, fiscal management, and operational oversight.
You will prepare oral and written statements.
You will lead and manage the organization’s review of legislative proposals and development of products for posture hearings.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience conducting persuasive engagement with congressional members and staff to influence perspective on related projects, missions, and interests.
Experience developing and coordinating responses to congressional inquiries regarding equities to ensure consistent messaging between parties.
Experience evaluating policies and guidance for impact to programs and recommends courses of action to senior leadership.
