You will serve as an INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in the Operations NCCC, Commander U.S. Pacific Fleet of the OPERATIONAL SUPPORT FACILITY.
Duties
You will analyze and execute taskings in support of cybersecurity mandates and apply sound information principles to secure fleet networks.
You will ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of networks, systems, and data through the planning, analysis, development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of information systems security programs.
You will provide cybersecurity recommendations to Maritime Operations Center leadership and coordinates with numerous Department of Defense and Department of Navy entities.
You will obtain highly technical cybersecurity information from numerous diverse organizations.
You will serve as the single point of contact to conduct Pacific Fleet Cybersecurity assessments.
You will serve as the single point of contact to report Pacific Fleet Cybersecurity events to numerous individuals and entities.
You will develop and present cybersecurity operational plans to senior staff, executive leadership, and senior/adjacent/subordinate organizations.
You will develop a training plan and provide cyber security training to Cybersecurity watch officers, active duty sailors, reserve sailors, or government civilians.
You will be responsible for acquiring cyber situational awareness, assessing technical and operational impacts, reporting cyber events, and advising leadership of cyber responses.

- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 511, proficiency level IAM-II; the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing the integrity and availability of network systems by analyzing information assurance/Cyber Security programs to mitigate vulnerabilities in information networks. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
