About the Position: This position is located at Linden Oak Medical Homes and is one of our community-based clinics serving close to 6500 active duty family members, retirees and their family members. This incumbent will be part of an administrative team that work Monday through Friday 0730-1630 with a one-hour lunch.
Duties
Perform administrative tasks in support of the Clinic day-to-day administrative operations.
Coordinate training for all the staff and updates various regulations and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as required.
Establish and maintain a library of regulations, office memoranda, payment documents, bulletins, training catalogs, and any other material the office requires.
Determine disposition of inquiries relative to the clinic and/or resolve discrepancies.
Maintain correspondence, policies, and/or mission requirements for the clinic.
Manually sort/organize files and supplies in the clinic.
Operate a motor vehicle to pick up and deliver mail, supplies, etc. to/from the clinic.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- This position has mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons (documentation of exemption must be provided upon hire).
- This position has Hepatitis vaccination requirements and is subject to Hepatitis vaccination unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons (documentation of exemption must be provided upon hire).
- This position may require the incumbent to work on any day or shift, including PMs, nights, weekends, holidays, or on an "on call" basis, necessary to meet mission requirements.
- This position has been designated Weather Essential. In the event of inclement weather conditions the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
- This position requires incumbent to possess and maintain a valid state driver's license to operate government vehicles.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience in the Federal service which includes utilizing automated computer systems to enter and retrieve data for compilation of records and generation of reports; maintaining personnel and budgetary records for the office; and physically/manually organizing records and supplies for the department. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Proficiency Required:This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
