This Senior Executive Service (SES) position is in the Office of Mission Support, Office of Digital Services and Technical Architecture. About OMS.
This is an office-centered position*--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis.*EPA offers work-from-home and work schedule flexibilities as described in the Benefits section.
Duties
This position is located in the Office of Digital Services and Technical Architecture (ODSTA), in the Office of Mission Support (OMS). ODSTA plans and manages the architecture and future directions of EPA’s information technology infrastructure and identifies new technologies and technology support capabilities in response to Agency requirements. ODSTA also leads and develops Agency-wide information technology (IT) strategies and roadmaps and partners on effective implementation and governance. The office follows business processes from technology and data design through the software lifecycle to investment, understanding customer needs, and reviewing investments made in platforms and services for effectiveness and suitability. Likewise, the office serves as an agent for innovation and collaboration to connect the dots and bridge gaps between business needs, data, tools, and technologies.

Qualifications
The work of this position is classified in the Information Technology Management, 2210 series. Applicants must have experience managing, supervising, leading, administering, developing, delivering, and/or supporting information technology systems and services.
All applicants must have one year of specialized experience at a level close to the work of this job that demonstrates the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform in this role. Typically this experience can be found in work within this field or a field that is closely related.
As a basic requirement for entry into the Senior Executive Service, applicants must also provide evidence of progressively responsible leadership experience that is indicative of senior level management capability and directly related to the skills and abilities outlined under the Executive Core Qualifications and Technical Qualifications listed below.

B. Technical Qualifications (TQs) - Mandatory for all applicants - Failure to address these factors individually within a limit of two (2) pages per factor will result in your application being disqualified.TQ 1 - Demonstrated experience managing projects, including leading cross-functional teams, managing budgets and timelines, and developing project plans to ensure the successful delivery of technology solutions.
TQ 2 - Demonstrated experience analyzing and/or leading agency programs, IT systems, methodologies and policies specifically related to artificial intelligence, data management and technology architecture.
