You will serve as an EXECUTIVE SPECIAL PROJECTS & PROTOCOL Officer of OFFSECNAV WASHINGTON DC.

Duties

You will serve as the Protocol Officer in the Secretary of the Navy's Office with authority and responsibility for the management of all protocol, conference, visit and special event related and supporting staff. You will direct and oversee the formulation of all arrangements for the total orchestration and execution of SECNAV social and official functions. You will ensure the highest degree of official recognition is afforded each visitor, and that presentations and tours are commensurate with the security clearance of visitors. You will analyze and assess constant and important changes in recent events as well as the possible impacts, advantages, disadvantages and tremendous political ramifications in order to carefully advise.

• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Experience directing and overseeing the formulation of arrangements of command social and official functions to include visits, conferences, and receptions. Experience developing comprehensive guidance, direction, and policies and memorandums governing all facets of planning, coordinating, and executing visits and events to contribute to the Navy's objective.
