This position is located at the 1918 Club which is apart of Fort Moore Family & Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR).This is a Flexible position (00-40 hours) not eligibility to participate in the NAF Employee Benefits Plans. Duties

Prepares and cooks a variety of menu items. Working alone or with the assistance of a higher-grade cook or supervisor, prepares a variety of foodsand desserts according to menu requirements. Follows recipes to prepare items such as soups, stews, casseroles, gravies, sauces, hot cereals,syrups, meatloaf, meatballs, hamburgers, and croquettes. Adjusts recipes for larger or smaller quantities. Roasts a variety of meats such as beef,pork, veal, lamb, fish, and poultry. Grills and deep fries foods. Broils and steams foods. Slices meat by hand and by mechanical means, to specificrequirements. Apportions foods for family style servings as well as for plate service. Prepares vegetables and cold food platters. Make a variety ofsalads and salad dressings. Make sandwiches. Prepares eggs in a variety of ways, French toast, pancakes, and crepes.

Requirements

  • Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of4 hours refresher training annually.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a medical examination.
  • Incumbentmay be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.

Qualifications
