You will serve as a SUPPLY SYSTEM ANALYST in the INDUSTRIAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY SUPPLY AND LOGISTICS DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Duties
You will be responsible for all assigned work pertaining to the execution of the Compliance and Strategic Analysis Branch functions and requirements.
You will serve as an analyst for and administrator of the application of record for Material Accountability on the Shipyard including troubleshooting, analytics, and training execution.
You will perform strategic analysis of shipyards data and metrics in order to improve performance and sustainment, as well as management of and coordination with external parties on material needs.
You will support the auditing of shipyard and supply chain compliance with Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR)/Operations, Materials and Supply (OM and S) requirements.
Requirements

- This is a bargaining unit position.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience conducting studies, analyzing findings and making recommendations on substantive operating programs, e.g. Job Readiness Cell Management.
Experience working knowledge of shipyard organizational structures, programs, missions, functions, and Supply Department requirements.
Experience analyzing supply department standards, workloads, and deviations from standards to determine best approach to solving challenges.
Experience performing analytical studies related to management improvement, productivity improvement, management controls and long-range planning.
Experience applying supply system analytical and evaluative techniques to resolve problems associated with materials.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
Possession of an LL.M., if related to this position being filled.
