You will serve as a SUPERVISORY NUCLEAR PRODUCTION PROJECT MANAGER in the Peral Harbor Naval Shipyard & IMF at GUAM DETACHMENT of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.

Duties

You will serve as second level supervisor over work operations in support of naval nuclear ship repair, maintenance, modernization, and overhaul. You will plan, coordinate, and direct a variety of related work operations or functions of subordinate employees through subordinate supervisors/leaders. You will analyze present and future work schedules, determine the manpower, material, equipment, training, methods and other requirements needed to perform the work. You will determine work requirements by setting deadlines, sequence of operations, and standards of quality and quantity. You will carry out and communicate support of EEO policies to lower-level employees. Assure equality on determining qualifications, selections, assignments, trainings, promotions, and other personnel actions.

  • This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement to establish a Government time in service requirement of 12 months.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
  • May be required to obtain a VISA dependent on the overseas country's laws/regulations.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. The ability to direct and oversee the planning, scheduling and execution of nuclear production work applicable to ship availability. 2. Planning, scheduling and execution of nuclear production work in conjunction with the overhaul, repair, modification and conversion of naval nuclear ships. 3. Supervise and manage production workers and project management teams. 4. Providing technical specification, quality control and assurance procedures, test requirement, inspection and radiological priorities and policies. 5. Experience in technical specifications and understand work practices associated with the overhaul, repair, modification of Nuclear Ships. Contacts are required to study and develop changes in work schedules, work techniques and
standards, revisions to organizational structures, responsibilities, and relationships. Contacts involve
providing information to higher level management and subordinate supervisors and workers regarding
work requirements and to resolve problems.

Directs the work of supervisory and non-supervisory FWS workers engaged in Nuclear production
facilitating work comparable to the GS-12 level for at least 25 percent of the workload. Work consists of
providing administrative direction with assignments to subordinates based on task priority and staff
capabilities. Identifies requirements, organizes and distributes authorized personnel resources.
Ensures development of organizational work plans, short and long-range schedules, priorities, work
assignments and position structures to effectively, efficiently and economically carry out the mission.
Monitors personnel assignments.
