This position is part of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for providing continuous support to task management and requirements activities for Military Services and Combatant Commands (CCMDs) regarding relevant DTRA Science and Technology (S&T) capability development efforts and helps prioritize the alignment of DTRA's $1B portfolio of S&T investments against prioritized warfighter requirements.

Duties

As a SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY TRANSISTION SPECIALIST at the GS-0301-12/13 some of your typical work assignments may include: Conducts both independent and collaborative reviews of internal tasking submissions, requirements submissions, gathers and organizes source documentation as needed, and conducts quality control of tasking submissions, responses and requirements submissions for additions and changes to be made. Assists in the review and packaging of documentation for leadership review and approval. Assists in the assignment of tasking to other Departments and coordinates responses and questions as required with higher level DTRA offices. Assists with task management, analyzes assigned tasks, coordinate tracking, and ensures responses meet DTRA and DoD correspondence guidelines to external and internal tasks. Assists in the development and approval process for requirements submissions with both the submitting points of contact and RD Department Program Managers to help interpret requests, which can include revising the language for better clarity of purpose. Supports documentation and follow-up of meetings, conferences, and exercises at DTRA and the CCMD headquarters, as required, so as to provide situational awareness of the Director, DTRA, and other members of the Agency leadership and staff.

Qualifications

You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service: Researching and Developing community structure, functions, programs, and projects in order to map interrelationships, direct tasking to the appropriate areas, review responses to taskings, provide corrections and feedback as needed on responses and prepare responses for leadership review and approval; Integrating and applying complex information from a wide variety of sources, including Congress, DoD, the CCMDs, and other agencies and synthesize the resulting information to develop recommended courses of action to achieve key objectives, including the combating WMD mission; Presenting, in writing and orally, complex issues and options for decisions and recommendations by senior officials; Communicating technical, procedural, and programmatic issues to technical and non-technical audiences of varying position levels and background. You may qualify at the GS-12, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service: Assisting with researching and developing community structure, functions, programs, and projects in order to map interrelationships, direct tasking to the appropriate areas, review responses to taskings, provide corrections and feedback as needed on responses and prepare responses for leadership review and approval; Assisting in integrating and applying complex information from a wide variety of sources, including Congress, DoD, the CCMDs, and other agencies; Assisting in presenting, in writing and orally, complex issues and options for decisions and recommendations by senior officials. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
