About the Position: Serve as the Executive Officer and works under the direction of the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army (Financial Management and Comptroller) (PDASA, FM&C).
Duties
Obtain preparatory materials in advance.
Serve as the liaison between the senior leaders and various briefers.
Review correspondence and staff action packages going into and out of the office.
Develop staff advice and formulates new policies.
Solicit comments from appropriate staff offices, resolves questions of interpretation and applicability, consolidates comments, and prepares recommendations for the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary’s action.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing technical assistance and guidance to action officers on preparation, coordination, and/or administrative processing of actions; ensuring all senior staff are fully prepared for all meetings, briefings, media events, and/or scheduled events; coordinating and monitoring all senior leader personnel actions, such as individual development plans (IDP), mandatory training, performance appraisals; coordinate executive calendars and internal and external knowledge management.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
