This Administrative Services Manager (Branch Chief) position is in the Information Dissemination Branch (IDB), Division of Administrative Services (DAS), Office of Information and Resource Management (OIRM). The incumbent will manage the activities of the Records Management Section and Design and Publishing Section which include records management, controlled unclassified information, policy and information dissemination, and digital and print design and publishing services.
Duties
As an Administrative Services Manager (Branch Chief), you will perform the following duties:
Develop and communicate a compelling vision for the organization and align resources and priorities to achieve strategic objectives and lead change efforts to drive innovation and growth.
Exercise delegated managerial authority to set annual and multiyear work plans and strategies and schedule work to ensure implementation of goals and objectives that support the organizational strategy and branch functions while also maintaining the Division of Administrative Services (DAS) customer experience standards by ensuring that service quality is aligned with customer needs, assistance is simple and easy to use, customer required actions are transparent and clear, service is provided with reasonable speed and responsiveness, and customers are provided with professional engagement and courteous interactions.
Manage the resources of the Branch to maximize the effective and efficient use of funds, human resource strengths and skills, and delegated physical resources to accomplish organizational objectives.
Collaborate with Division partners and resources to adopt a data-driven approach to decision-making by collecting and analyzing operational data in the course of service delivery.
Curate customer-focused data to determine a satisfactory customer experience achieved through Branch operations, establish and review workload data to gauge Branch and staff performance, review financial data to ensure adequate resource management, and utilize other data where appropriate in managing Branch resources and conducting Branch planning.
Perform policy, program, and regulatory analyses for the specific services of the Branch assigned and oversee the development, review, communication, and adoption of policies.
Qualifications
To qualify at the GS-15 level, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 Level in the federal service leading a team, providing management and oversight of records and policy management and/or information design and dissemination programs for an organization.
Examples of specialized experience include: managing financial and human resources; providing advice, counsel, or instruction on administrative and technical work issues for a variety of functions and services; conducting analysis and making data-driven decisions for an organization; and the ability to plan, organize, and control work involving diverse activities.
Experience refers to paid/unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training/experience that translates directly to paid work. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education may enhance skills required for this position; however, no substitution of education for specialized experience may be made at this level.
