The primary purpose of this position is to assist with planning, organizing, and directing all branch activities in the areas of logistics, supply/equipment procurement, capital assets management, and quality assurance activities.
Duties
Assists with technical oversight authority on matters pertaining to quality assurance in maintenance, tools, metrology and calibration as well as technical order and commercial off-the-shelf manual distribution.
Monitors quality assurance inspections to ensure compliance with all published logistics instructions and supplements.
Serves as back-up to logistics manager and functional lead responsible for representing the munitions directorate on logistics/munitions management issues with a variety of installation, functional and outside agencies.
In this capacity, responsible for directing, planning, managing, and coordinating logistics management functions in support of the directorate mission.
Assists with oversight of the directorate Logistics Material Control Activity operations to ensure all operations comply with public laws, DOD, and AF guidance and regulations.

Qualifications
Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year, or will have one year within 120 days of closing of this announcement, at the next lower grade DO-01 (GS-11), or equivalent in the Federal Service. Examples of specialized experience includes Experience in logistics and asset management, ensuring compliance with regulations and requirements. Conducting quality assurance inspections, providing technical oversight, and handling various compliance and management issues. Has experience managing logistics functions, planning, organizing, training, and directing all branch activities in the areas of logistics, and supply/equipment procurement. Has experience with traditional munitions, flightline, and/or maintenance management practices for back shops, equipment maintenance/storage/accountability, and bench stock/shop stock.
