Candidates should have an advanced understanding of the cradle-to-grave life cycle logistics support required to acquire and support nuclear systems or subsystems, demonstrated experience in working effectively with multiple levels within DoD from installation to Major Command (MAJCOM), and able to communicate effectively, and be comfortable in a dynamic work environment.
DUTIES:
Serve as a senior expert logistician in AFNWC/NDB providing LCL guidance to the Product Support Manager (PSM), Senior Materiel Leader and other members of the Division staff and must remain knowledgeable of all logistics related activities within the Division to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and achievement of organizational goals.
Interface with multiple Air Force Senior Leaders for inter-related product support matters, serve on Senior Management advisory Committees, and assist in the formulation and execution of goals, plans, and budgets.
Collaborate with Integrated Product Teams and their organic and contractor logistics personnel overseeing and integrating Division logistics activities to ensure all operational usage data is collected analyzed, and acted upon as required to oversee currency of product support strategies and establishes long term plans for major changes.
Plan, manage, coordinate, evaluate, integrate, synchronize, track and brief Division program and projects status from a logistics perspective to AFNWC leadership, HQ Air Force and AFGSC as necessary to ensure collaboration with key stakeholders.
Develop and coordinate comprehensive Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) plans, Product Support Strategies, roadmaps, and milestones concerning logistics and related to acquisition programs and Division sustainment processes.
Interact and provide advice and guidance to internal and external stakeholders (to include members of the Department of Energy (DOE), and National Nuclear Security Agency (NNSA)) in a diplomatic, convincing, and professional manner to promote effective teaming relationships necessary for mission accomplishment.
Establish and maintain liaison with all activities, organizations, and commands directly involved with the introduction, maintenance, and support of nuclear systems.
Ensure all nuclear systems integration logistics requirements for availability, reliability, sustainment, operations support cost, training, and manpower are met.
Ensure systems product support strategy elements are incorporated into acquisition documentation, procurement specifications, contracts, and engineering documents.
Lead the product support definition, transition to, and implementation of next generation systems and be the subject matter expert in all phases of the product support requirements.
Support Air Force requirement interpretation, life cycle product support strategy development, product support planning, implementing product support processes, analyzing stakeholder feedback, and defining budgeting and funding requirements.
Prepare reports on time that are neat and of high quality for Air Force senior leaders and include recommendations, meaningful program information, written summaries, and results from synthesized data and/or metric analyses.
Participate in the development of correspondence, management plans, instructions, and memorandums necessary to ensure effective communication among all activities participating in logistic support programs.
SKILLS:
Expert knowledge of the policies, practices, regulations, and laws concerning acquisition management processes and related LCL initiatives is highly desired.
Broad depth and breadth of experience, including serving on programs in different phases of the Life Cycle, logistics experience in operational major commands, and Depot operations experience desired.
Knowledge of Air Force maintenance and sustainment policies, regulations, practices, and procedures desired.
Knowledge of the missions, roles, functions, organizational structures, and operation of the DOD, Air Force, and organizations that govern, interface with, and/or influence the systems acquisition and sustainment processes is highly desired.
Skill to lead, plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff in critical aspects of development and production, support of systems, subsystems, or equipment and to coordinate various aspects of logistics as they related to and interact with other acquisition and sustainment activities within engineering, contracting, financial management, configuration, test, and manufacturing.
Ability to lead, mentor, motivate, and work well with government and contractor employees.
Ability to communicate (orally and written) clearly and concisely with technical competency.
A professional degree at the bachelor's level from an accredited institution is desired.

- The employee must meet, or be capable of meeting, Defense Acquisition Work Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements applicable to the duties of the position.
- Employee is expected to meet Continuous Acquisition Education requirements and remain current on Continuous Learning Points (CLPs) following certification.
- Position is designated special-sensitive and requires a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with eligibility for access to Sensitive
Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information.
- A non-disclosure agreement must be signed. Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret w/SCI clearance.
- Employee needs to obtain and maintain approval to access the portfolio of Special Access Programs required to perform daily duties.
- This position may require travel.
- Employee may be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours to include evenings and weekends and may be subject to recall.
- Incumbent may be required to report to work during base exercises, contingencies, or emergency situations and overtime/comp time/credit hours may be required to accomplish assigned duties.
- This position meets the executive exemption criteria for the Fair Labor Standards Act (5 CFR 551.205).
