You will serve as a PHYSICAL SECURITY SPECIALIST in the Security Division (Code C1110), Infrastructure Management Division (Code 1100B), Corporate Operations Department (Code 1100) of MID ATLANTIC REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CTR.

Duties

You will protect sensitive or classified information, personnel, facilities, installations, or other materials, resources, or processes against criminal, terrorist, hostile intelligence, or kinetic activities. You will support and implement security policy and design, develop, evaluate, and install protection systems, devices, and access controls to ensure that sensitive information, equipment, and other material is not compromised. You will assist and support the PHYSEC program and evaluate the effectiveness of existing PHYSEC posture. You will support the Command Key and Lock Custodian and is responsible for supporting the effective management of a key and lock control system for the Command. You will assist and support the AT Program and the Anti-Terrorism Officer (ATO) as part of their duties. You will assist and support the ATO in the development and updating of the overall AT Plan, Random Active Measures (RAM’s), Vulnerability Assessments and other Anti-Terrorism Program documents as required. You will assist and support the managing of the InTP Program, the Insider Threat Hub, InTP Working Groups, submits Quarterly and HUB activation reports of the Insider Threat Program Activities. You will support the INDSEC program by monitoring contractor's compliance within the provisions of the Industrial Security Program. You will assist in the command's PERSEC program in all aspects and tasks.

Requirements

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This position requires that the selectee be willing and able to climb ladders and scaffolding.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.

Qualifications

GS-11 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with DOD and USN security programs across a spectrum of security concepts, standards, and practices. Experience reviewing, analyzing, and resolving complicated security challenges. Experience understanding the following security pillars and their interrelationships: Anti-Terrorism, Physical Security, Information Security, Insider Threat, Operational Security, Personal Security, and Industrial Security. Experience using integrated electronic security systems and security technologies such as fencing, alarm systems, Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), and access controls. Experience interpreting and implementing security policies. Experience evaluating multiple alternatives based on specific security needs, resource availability, and cost-effectiveness. GS-09 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with DOD and USN security programs across a spectrum of security concepts, standards, and practices. Experience using integrated electronic security systems and security technologies such as fencing, alarm systems, Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), and access controls. Experience interpreting and implementing security policies. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

master's or equivalent graduate degree

or

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.B. or J.D., if related
