Qualifications
NOTE: You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
To qualify for the GS-15 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level defined as advising on the development of program plans and strategies; evaluating or making recommendations on program methods, procedures, or policies; and coaching, mentoring, or leading others.
Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of procedures for assessing, evaluating, and monitoring programs or projects for compliance with Federal laws, regulations, and guidance.
Knowledge of performance management concepts, principles, and practices related to planning, monitoring, and evaluating program performance.
Skill in program or project management, including developing strategic plans and policies and adapting to changing conditions.
Skill in planning, administering, and monitoring expenditures to ensure cost-effective support of programs and policies.
Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions of subordinate organizational units.
Ability to establish short- and/or long-term program goals to meet the organization mission.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
