You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST (PROJECT MANAGER) in the Spectrum Warfare Department, Mission Planning & Off-Board Mission Systems, Strike Mission Planning of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.

Duties

You will coordinate project planning, execution, and delivery in alignment with organizational goals and priorities. You will develop project schedules, milestones, and deliverables, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion. You will identify specific tasks or missions that need to be accomplished and delegates and assigns them to subordinates, giving consideration to subordinate’s expertise, workload, and availability. You will serve as a liaison between the engineering teams and other organizational units, fostering collaboration and cooperation.

• This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-9/10) or pay band (DA-03) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following: 1) Performing work related to Mission Planning domain and managing projects; 2) Demonstrated experience pertaining to aviation mission planning systems, software, and processes, including Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS) and associated applications; 3) Utilizing comprehensive knowledge of aircraft capabilities, performance characteristics, mission requirements, and operational considerations to enable informed decision-making and resource allocation in mission planning activities; 4) Demonstrated experience pertaining to military operations, tactics, and procedures relevant to aviation. In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.M., if related
