About the Position: This position is located at the U.S Army Sustainment Command, 407th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistic Readiness Center, Maintenance Division, at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.

Duties

Maintain stockage control of materials used to support the repair of equipment within a consolidated maintenance repair shop. Maintain on-hand quantities of authorized organizational level repair parts. Perform semi-annual inventories. Operate a vehicle up to 10,000 pounds and 4,000-to-6,000-pound capacity forklift to load and/or unload items. Identify proper procedures within regulations/manuals when handling hazardous waste and materials. Create, maintain, and update Material Safety Data sheets (MSDS) logs.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a National Agency Check and Inquiries (NACI) background investigation.
  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
  • This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a forklift operator certificate within 6 months of entry into the position.
  • This position has a requirement to lift up to 70 pounds in the regular performance of duties.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. To meet the basic eligibility, you must receive at least two points on the screen-out element indicated above and must have an average of two points on all the job elements listed below. Working Conditions: Work is generally performed in well-lighted, heated and ventilated area which occasionally is drafty. Work is sometimes dirty, dusty and greasy. Is frequently exposed to possibility of cuts, scrapes and bruises.
