This position is located in the Government Accountability Office. As a Management and Program Analyst you will be responsible for planning, designing, and carrying out work in consultation with relevant stakeholders. The employee is skillful in interpreting and applying guidelines and adapting to guidance when needed. The incumbent keeps the supervisor informed of progress and potentially controversial situations. Work is reviewed for effectiveness in meeting IAT objectives.
Duties
As a Management and Program Analyst, PT, 0343, 2, your typical work assignments may include the following:
Carrying out administrative projects to improve the efficiency and productivity of IAT mission work and administrative support activities. The work involves dealing with a variety of problems, questions, and/or situations within the parameters of established policies and programs.
The work is both analytical and operational and facilitates other processes and work products. As one of IAT's representatives working with other GAO offices and through interaction with interns and Professional Development Staff, the work has impact that extends beyond the immediate organizational unit and in some instances GAO-wide.
Have contact with a wide range of internal and external customers, and staff including Managing Directors, Directors, staffing manager, and staff within IAT, other mission teams, and business support offices. Gather and share information, coordinate work, and provide analytical support.
Qualifications
You may qualify at the BAND II level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement:
Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower band level, equivalent to the Band PT/PE I level or GS-11 level in the federal service, which has equipped the applicant with the skills and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Specialized experience is defined as experience utilizing a variety of techniques, systems, and applications to analyze and measure the effectiveness /efficiency of administrative programs; and develop new modified work methods or processes.
