You will serve as a SUPERVISORY DISTRIBUTION FACILITIES SPECIALIST at NAVY MUNITIONS COMMAND PACIFIC CONUS WEST DIVISION, NMCPAC CWD DET WHIDBEY ISLAND.
Duties
You will serve as the principal advisor to the Officer in Charge on ammunition, explosives, and related operations.
You will plan, direct, coordinate and oversee work through subordinate leaders to include receipt, storage, care and preservation, issue and shipment of ammunition and explosives.
You will be responsible for matters relating to safety, day-to-day operations, storage and accountability of munitions, and fulfilling the mission as it pertains to the ordnance operations.
You will plan and direct the assigned functional ordnance operating program.
You will assign work to subordinates as required in accordance with the schedule generated by production control/scheduling.
You will be responsible, through leaders, for loading, unloading, tie-down, inspection and transportation of all ammunition.
You will communicate with the Officer in Charge on the status of work in progress, availability of resources, manpower and the need for overtime.
You will inspect ongoing ordnance operations to ensure compliance with ordnance publications, directives, and safety requirements.
You will train and certify subordinates in work methods and procedures, safe handling and transportation of explosives/ordnance material.

- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes when necessary.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: supporting the management of administrative and technical logistics work for an ordnance storage and distribution facility. (e.g. manpower, receipt, handling, maintaining, issuing, shipping and physically controlling ammunition and explosives).
