You will serve as a SUPERVISORY DISTRIBUTION FACILITIES SPECIALIST in the ORDNANCE OPERATIONS DIVISION of NMCPAC CWD DET WHIDBEY ISLAND.
Duties
You will service as the principal advisor to the Officer in Charge on ammunition, explosives and related operations.
You will plan, direct, coordinate and oversee the work directly, or indirectly, through subordinate leaders.
You will manage the resources for the division by directing, controlling and evaluating the requirements for ammunition and explosives in support of the detachment’s mission.
You will develop and devise appropriate methods and procedures and assist in establishing objectives and controls to accomplish program requirements.
You will plan the use of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, tools and other resources to meet the requirements of specials projects, fleet mission and production schedules.
You will assign work to subordinates by oral or written instruction as required in accordance with the schedule generated by production control/scheduling.
You will plan, establish, evaluate and revise the organizational structure of the distribution and storage program/activity.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current explosive handling certification according to NAVSEA OP-5.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. You will be required to sign a DD-Form-2760, Qualification to possess firearms or ammunition.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Leading and implementing storage and distribution systems which receive, handle, maintain, issue, ship and physically control ammunition and explosives.
