This position serves as the budget analyst in the Office of Administrator (A), focused on the Administrative Facilities Management (AFM) Division.  The incumbent reports to the Budget Officer.  The primary purpose of the work in this position is to serve as the liaison between AFM and the Budget Officer on all aspects of budget formulation, execution, and funds control.

Qualifications

Candidates must meet the Qualification Standards Handbook requirements for the GS-0560-14. For this position, Specialized experience is at least one year of experience, equivalent in responsibility to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service, developing and managing budgets for a federal agency. Budget Analysis – Knowledge of analytical methods and tools for budgets. Reporting – Skill in reporting budget data and information to a wide variety of audiences. Budget Formulation – Skill in preparing, designing, modifying, and submitting budgets. Financial Management – Ability to manage the finances of a government institution.  "Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
