This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for AcqDemo Business and Technical Management Career Path (NH) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Duties

Plan, implement, manage, evaluate and verify IT support projects, and their associated requirements and risk. Apply system architecture principles to develop and manage technical requirements. Coordinate project management to ensure software suitability and supportability. Recommend design and implementation of new requirements and modifications to existing software. Develop secure software testing scripts according to software deployment methods, tools and practices. Provide IT advice to customers who manage the development, production, and sustainment of enterprise systems.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Position requires Temporary Duty or Business Travel 25% of the time, sometimes on short notice to world-wide locations, using the fastest mode of transportation available.
• This is an army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Engineering and Technical Management certification within 36 months as of entrance of duty.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
• One year probationary period may be required.

To qualify for an IT Specialist position, you must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below based on the grade level required of the position being filled: 1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. 2) Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. 3) Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. 4) Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. AND In addition to the competencies, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (NH-02/GS-11) in the Federal service which includes: 1) Providing IT software management support to processes and tools including system architectures, software production, or testing ; 2) Performing analysis on new or existing software services to evaluate system configurations or monitor implementation; and 3) Providing contractors IT technical guidance to resolve technical issues or evaluate performance.
