Duties

Conducts or leads enterprise architecture efforts for broad and complex Army enterprise systems that support a wide range of functions, organizations, and processes. As a team leader or principal analyst; leads and coordinates the efforts of other IT Specialists and contractors in solving complex and far-reaching enterprise architecture issues and problems for a wide range of systems, applications, and customers. Develops, implements, and ensures compliance with plans, policies, standards, infrastructures, and architectures that establish the framework for the management of all IT programs. Analyzes, plans, designs, documents, assesses, and manages the IT enterprise structural framework to align enterprise systems with the mission, goals, and processes of the user organizations. Consults with customers and applies analytical processes to the planning, design, and implementation of new and improved information systems to meet the business requirements of customer organizations. Ensures the safe and reliable integration of different elements of a system, including schedules, configurations, and resources. Formulates, plans, implements, manages, tracks, and evaluates large scale and extremely complex IT enterprise architecture projects and their associated requirements and risks.

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• If selected, you will be subject to a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) and must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access/eligibility.
• Must comply with Drug Abuse Testing Program requirements.
• This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Foundational level Engineering and Technical Management certification within 36 months as of entrance on duty.
• One year trial/probationary period may be required.
• This is a Defense Cyberspace Workforce Framework (DCWF) position as outlined in DoDD 8140.01 - Cyberspace Workforce Management, Encl 2, Par 9(c)(d).

Specialized experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (NH-03). Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Developing Enterprise Architecture IT policy and program changes for implementation; 2) Developing solutions to problems encountered when designing the architecture of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems; and 3) Advising management on major acquisition Enterprise Architecture programs. AND Specialized experience includes, or was supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined: (1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Examples of IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: solving complex or sensitive problems by developing and proposing strategic alternatives; identifying possible conflicts and shared benefits; helping team anticipate problems and identifying and evaluating potential sources of information; providing feedback and coaching to others to help solve problems; engaging appropriate stakeholders when developing solutions in order to understand and incorporate multiple perspectives and needs; evaluating the effectiveness of decisions and adjusting future decisions as appropriate.
