You will serve as a VISUAL INFORMATION SPECIALIST of MARCORSYSCOM.

Duties

You will design fact sheets, reports, brochures and other web and print-oriented documents using Adobe Creative Suite and other software. You will research and prepare visual material for executive level presentations. You will prepare sketches and preliminary layouts to convey proposed presentations. You will create new art or adapt existing material to help convey thought and meet the readers' needs. You will conduct electronic, online, or manual research to select relevant data and art from varied sources.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band NH-02 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Planning the preparation and use of photographs, illustrations, drawings, and other art work, charts, diagrams, dioramas, maps, slides, overlays, and other kinds of visual material for use in communicating information through visual means. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

Education

Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- commercial art, fine arts, art history, industrial design, architecture, drafting, interior design, photography, visual communication, or other fields related to the position.

Advanced training in a vocational school, technical institute, or art institute above the high school level in one of the fields listed above is creditable as general experience on a month-for-month basis. Some positions may also require subject-matter knowledge of medicine, science, or technical equipment.
