You will serve as a MANAGER and the Senior Civilian & Director of NAVSEALOGCENKYPTDIVNUWC MECH PA. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-6 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-14 and GS-15.

Duties

You will provide senior civilian perspective and continuity of leadership to the workforce of NAVSEALOGCEN and steward technical excellence. You will be responsible for the stewardship of business, technical capabilities, facilities, execution of human capital strategy, and development. You will be responsible for the execution of long-term strategic, business, investment planning, command planning, assessment, and budgeting across the technical and business domains. You will serve as the technical expert in administrative and technical operations and the life-cycle sustainment of the commands technical projects. You will direct the development and execution of organizational goals and continually evaluate future Dept of Navy needs.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band NT-5 (GS-13/14 equivalent) or grade level in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector establishing short term or long term organizational goals in relation to the programming, planning and execution of the life cycle of Naval logistic programs.
