Duties

As a SUPERVISORY CWMD COORDINATION SPECIALIST at the GS-0301-14 some of your typical work assignments may include: Ensuring the division supports department level operations efficiently and effectively and that the operations divisions are properly supported as they execute their partner engagement activities. Working closely with the Department Chief and Global Operations Officer to establish strategic plans for the Department's programs and develops long-term goals. Monitoring engagement activities, resource allocations, and collaboration between the program and initiative management staff and the operations divisions. Facilitating communication, coordination, training, and unity off effort among the Department's divisions. Coordinating the work of Mission Support Division and establishing and adjusting short and long term mission priorities based on national, GCCs', and DTRA objectives. Serving as the front line supervisor for the majority of the Department's administrative and program and initiative management staff. Overseeing, mentoring, and providing strategic planning guidance to programmatic and initiative budget, contracting, and acquisition specialists. Implementing DoD, Agency, Directorate, Department, and program and initiative requirements for information, transparency, and ethical stewardship of personnel and resources.

Qualifications

You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service: Experience in Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD), Proliferation Security Initiative (PSI), Countering proliferation or Security Cooperation or other applicable building partner capacity, capability and cooperative threat reduction; Extensive experience planning, preparing, coordinating, and presenting Agency positions on CWMD related issues via formal briefings to senior officials within the Agency, DoD, and the Inter-agency; Extensive experience as CWMD SME, presenting alternative courses of action, implications, recommendations, and convincing arguments on behalf of Agency positions at inter-agency meetings/conferences, and; Extensive experience managing, supervising, leading teams of DoD civilians, military members, and government contractors to include monitoring personnel requirements, job performance, and long-range program goals and workload distribution. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
