You will serve as a Data Scientist in the HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND.

Duties

You will serve as a senior authoritative source on tasks requiring analytical techniques to analyze complex data relationships, identify innovative ideas, and develop objective evaluation criteria. You will oversee and lead multiple project teams and professional data specialists across INDOPACOM by providing broad oversight and guidance. You will develop thoughtful recommendations for implementing solutions to strengthen the INDOPACOM's overall data governance. You will analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of an organization based on data findings to improve operations. You will Advise senior leaders and staff on the proper tools and formats for analyzing data for mission management.

Qualifications

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional Data Scientist. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying a broad range of data analysis, mathematics, statistical analysis, modeling/simulation, or other scientific concepts, principles, standards, methods, techniques, practices, and procedures; 2) Working with large and complex data sets to perform extensive analysis of volumes of data through macros and pivot tables; 3) Designing and delivering frameworks to facilitate data development; 4) Using various data integration services and data visualization tools to accurately represent data. Education

1. Mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science or field directly related to the position. The degree must be in a major field of study (at least at the baccalaureate level) that is appropriate for the position.

2. Combination of education and experience: Courses equivalent to a major field of study (30 semester hours) as shown in paragraph A above, plus additional education or appropriate experience.
