You will serve as a DATA SCIENTIST in the COMMAND DATA OFFICE of HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND.
Duties
You will serve as the Data Scientist responsible for informing capability architecture, solving complex and difficult technical problems, and adapting to rapidly changing requests for analysis.
You will utilize data mining techniques and strategies to apply data analysis and predictive modeling techniques to data from disparate sources.
You will collaborate with stakeholders to incorporate new business processes and new technology into the enterprise architecture.
You will develop training materials and tools on the relevance, purpose, and best practices of data management and analysis.

Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying a broad range of data analysis, mathematics, statistical analysis, modeling/simulation, or other scientific concepts, principles, standards, methods, techniques, practices, and procedures; 2) Working with large and complex data sets to perform extensive analysis of volumes of data through macros and pivot tables; 3) Designing and delivering frameworks to facilitate data development; 4) Using various data integration services and data visualization tools to accurately represent data.

Education
Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess
Degree: Mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science or field directly related to the position. The degree must be in a major field of study (at least at the baccalaureate level) that is appropriate for the position.
OR
Combination of education and experience: Courses equivalent to a major field of study (30 semester hours) as shown in paragraph A above, plus additional education or appropriate experience.
