The primary purpose of this position is as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) Enlisted, to serve as the subject matter expert for the Services career field with the local unit.
Duties
Ensures Services meets all wartime readiness requirements.
Manages the combat readiness of the Sustainment Services Flight.
Principal advisor to Senior Leadership on all Service Readiness issues.
Acts as Flight Resource Advisor, Wing Lodging Liaison, and Food Service Coordinator.
Ensures completion of required administrative duties.
Requirements

- Position may or will require incumbent to Fly in military and/or commercial aircraft in the performance of temporary duty (TDY) assignments
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance
- Males must be registered for Selective Service, see Legal and Regulatory Guide
- Employee must be willing and able to travel by military and commercial air or by most expeditious means of transportation
- May be required to work overtime to meet special workload demands
- Required to meet and maintain Air Force Reserve requirements. Incumbent's regular assignments are primarily ART duties: however, the incumbent may be assigned some non-ART duties, generally not to exceed 30 percent of total responsibilities.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Administrative and Management Positions,
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level in federal service (or equivalent in other pay systems) in which equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) to perform successfully the duties of the position. Specialized experience is experience which includes the planning, organizing, guidance, personnel training, and management of administrative tasks that support and ensure mission readiness of the unit.

EDUCATION: Threefull years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, OR LL.M., in a related field. NOTE: YOU MUST SUBMIT COPIES OF YOUR TRANSCRIPTS.

COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100 percent. To combine education and experience, determine the total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level. Then determine the education as a percentage of the education required for the grade level. Finally, add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify an applicant for that grade level. NOTE: YOU MUST SUBMIT A COPY OF YOUR TRANSCRIPT.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of the mission, organization, programs, and functions of the flight, to include wartime requirements.
Knowledge and skill in applying analytical, evaluative, and investigative techniques to measure the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity or Services deployment operations, programs, and activities.
Knowledge of the laws, regulations, policies, and precedents that affect programs and associated support resources and of safety, security, and Equal Employment Opportunity regulations, practices, and procedures.
Knowledge of operating programs throughout the wing in order to conduct studies, analyze findings, and make recommendations on substantive operating programs, to include an understanding of a comprehensive range of staff concepts, objectives, policies, management/organizational techniques, and military command.
Ability to plan, organize, assign work, and to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Skill and ability to prepare project and staff reports, and to deliver briefings to high-level officials, both civilian and military.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
