About the Position: Works under the general administrative supervision of the Installation Management Command (IMCOM) G-1 Passport Services Division Chief. Supervises one of two branches responsible for the Department of Defense (DoD) provision of passport and visa services to the DoD community. Writes and establishes policy for DoD.
Duties
Supervise and review the efforts and work of subordinate branch chiefs and action officers based on priorities, consideration of technical difficulty, mission requirements, and Division capabilities and qualifications.

Resolve informal complaints and grievances.
Ensures that operations adhere to the Code of Federal Regulations Title 22, Chapter 1, Part 51 and 53; 5 and 8 Foreign Affairs Manuals (FAM); DoDI 1000.21 and other laws and regulations that govern Passport and Visa Services.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

Specialized Experience: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service which includes:
Conducting extensive coordination with a wide range of organizations across the Department of Defense (DoD) to ensure Passport and Visa programs support the needs of the DoD Community.
Preparing directives to the force and providing advice and assistance to subordinates, component, and DoD commands with respect to Passport and Visa procedures.
Ensuring staff work efficiently and effectively in resolving Passport and Visa matters with the Department of State (DoS) and other governmental entities within and without the DoD.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
